Same vowel letter, but different length. 5) “tub”… “tube.” Short in “tub.” Long in “tube.” Repeat… pause… 6) “rid”… “ride.” Cue: silent E. Repeat… pause… Now vowel teams. Two vowels can team up and shout one long sound. 7) “pan”… “pain.” Cue: AI makes a long A. Repeat… pause… 8) “pet”… “Pete.” Cue: EE makes a long E. Repeat… pause… Great. Now let’s run the self-check loop faster. After each word, whisper in your head: “Cue… vowel… beat.” And keep tapping: one… two… one… two. Quick mix. I’ll say it.
